Episode of an Advisor

“I’m a people sort of person.
“I want to make a contribution.
“I want to be part of the solution.
“I want to leave the world a better place.
“I don’t care if I make a lot of money—
“I just want to do my share to
help people.”
I am amazed sometimes
by the state of nutrition
in this country.
Why just look at you,
a strapping young man or woman,
strong and tall and robust, and fecund.
All this, and apparently
you were born yesterday.
My, what’s going on!
Truly I admire you,
and wish I could be there
to pick up the pieces
when they are done with you.

Everyone wanting something!
But not me, boys! Hey you people,
quit your wanting! Just say no!
Me, I like to stand under blue skies
and scrunch my little toes in green grass
that is like a big, green rug,
and soft like it was a big, green,
soft pillow or something else
that is green and soft, and big.
